New Delhi, Jan 9: Delhi’s new Chief Secretary S.K. Srivastava aforesaid Thursday that teams of young and honest officers would presently be at work to make the govt people-centric and crack down on corruption.
“We are committed to providing a people-centric government, and our main focus is on corruption. we’ll presently kind groups of young and honest officers for the job,” Srivastava told reporters here when a meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
“However, of these things can take your time,” he said.
A 1980 batch Indian body Services officer, Srivastava was earlier posted in the health ministry. He has replaced D.M. Spolia, who is now Delhi’s financial commissioner.
The Aam Aadmi Party, shaped in Nov 2012, won 28 of the 70 seats in the Dec 4 Delhi elections, and shaped the govt with outside support from the Congress, that won eight seats now when having been in power in Delhi for 15 years.
