(Picture Credit: Instagram/@palash_muchhal)The Bombay High Court has granted interim relief to Palash Muchhal amid allegations that his wedding with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana was called off because he was cheating on her. The High Court has restrained Vidnyan Mane from making or publishing any further remarks against Palash, after taking note of allegedly defamatory statements made during the ongoing controversy.As reported by the paparazzo handle Viral Bhayani, in its order, the Bombay High Court observed that such comments could seriously affect an individual’s reputation and dignity. Emphasising the need to prevent further harm, the bench directed an immediate restraint on Vidnyan Mane from issuing statements regarding Palash until further proceedings.Reacting to the development, advocate Shreyansh Mithare, counsel for Palash, described the ruling as a significant moment and a major relief for his client. He said the Court’s decision puts an immediate stop to what he termed as false remarks and helps restore fairness amid the controversy.What Did Vidnyan Mane Claim?A couple of months after Palash Muchhal’s wedding with Smriti Mandhana was called off, Vidnyan Mane, who claimed to be present at the wedding functions, made some serious allegations. According to Mane, Palash cheated Smriti and was caught red-handed with another woman in bed.“I was at the wedding celebrations (November, 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he’d get married and settle in Sangli, but it has completely backfired on me,” Mane said, as quoted by Hindustan Times.According to Mane, he is Smriti’s childhood friend and was introduced to Palaash by the Mandhana family. He has also accused Muchhal of cheating him of over Rs 40 lakh and has filed a complaint in Sangli. According to him, he has all the proofs against Palash and he is willing to share them with police and media to expose the reality of the Muchhal family.“I have saved all proofs including my chats and phone conversations that I’m willing to share with the police and the media,” he added.Palash Muchhal Calls Allegations ‘Incorrect’After Mane’s allegations, Palash also issued an official statement, calling them ‘baseless’. He took to his Instagram stories and claimed that Mane’s claims are ‘factually incorrect’. “In light of the allegations made by Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane on social media, I wish to state that these claims against me are entirely baseless and factually incorrect,” Palash wrote.“They have been made with malicious intent to tarnish my reputation, and they will not go unchallenged.
