Srinagar, June 17: Militant was killed in Kashmir gunfight. Security forces on Friday gunned down an unidentified militant in a gunfight that started after a raid on a suspected rebel hideout in north Kashmir Sopore city, police mentioned.
A police officer advised right here that safety forces laid a cordon round a residential home in Sopore after a tip off that a minimum of two militants had been hiding there.
The militants opened fireplace on the forces which was retaliated, ensuing right into a fierce gunfight, the police officer mentioned.
