Foreign forces condemn Eid-eve Afghan mosque bombingKabul:The NATO-led International Security help Force (ISAF) has powerfully condemned the bomb attack that claimed the lifetime of Arsala Jamal, the governor of Afghanistan’s Logar province, and wounded fifteen others tuesday, the alliance said during a statement received wednesday.

“ISAF powerfully condemns the bombing of a house of God in Pul-i-Alam the capital of Logar province that killed and wounded quite a dozen civilians who were celebrating Eid-e-Qurban. Among those killed was the governor of Logar province, Arsala Jamal,” Xinhua according citing the statement.

“Governor Arsala Jamal was reading out a message to the locals following the Eid-ul Adha prayer tuesday morning once an jury-rigged device (IED) that was planted below the apse within the house of God was detonated, killing Jamal at the scene and wounding fifteen others,” provincial government voice Din prophet Darwish told Xinhua.

Eid-ul Adha or Eid-ul Qurban is that the biggest annual festival celebrated by Muslims across the world.

The commander of the NATO-led ISAF forces in afghanistan, Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, also expressed sympathy with the families of the victims.

“This indiscriminate violence, on every day reserved for national peace and celebration, reflects an entire disregard for the quality of life,” Dunford said within the statement.

Afghan officers place responsibility of the attack on taliban militants.

President Hamid Karzai has also condemned the deadly bombing.
