Guwahati, Feb 25: Congress vice chairman Rahul Gandhi said Tuesday that spreading of power is important to tackle corruption.
Addressing a rally in Assam, Gandhi same that power must be localized and given to the people and the native bodies within the states.
“More power is given to the councils, native bodies and people, additional higher it’s for the people within the state,” he said in Diphu.
The rally befell days when Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed the people of province.
“In the coming time we want to consult the people here, and after that distribute the party tickets for the elections.
“Because there’s too much of centralisation of power among a number of people, the spreading of power within the hands of the people is incredibly a lot of needed,” Gandhi said.
He added: “All our developments are supported the concept of giving power to people. we want to form positive that people aren’t only safe however even have bound rights.”
