Damascus, Sep 6, 2016: IS claims duty for Syria’s serial bombings. The Islamic State (IS) group claimed duty for the six bombings that rocked key Syrian cities and killed not less than 48 individuals earlier on Monday.
In an announcement carried by the group’s Amaq news agency, the IS stated six of its suicide bombers had carried out bombings within the cities of Tartus, Homs, Hasakah and Damascus.

It stated a bomber detonated his explosives at a navy checkpoint within the Sabura space within the countryside of Damascus, and one other one detonated his explosives at a checkpoint within the central metropolis of Homs.
Within the predominantly-Kurdish metropolis of Hasakah, the IS mentioned, a bomber carried out a suicide assault towards a checkpoint of Kurdish security forces, often known as Assayish as IS claims duty for Syria’s serial bombings.
