Patna, Feb 24: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Mon urged people to participate in ‘thali’ beating March one in support of the state closing the subsequent day to protest denial of special class standing to Bihar.
“I appeal people to hitch thali beating Saturday evening to specific their protest and anger – the noise ought to reach Delhi and Bihar’s real demand for special standing mustn’t be ignored,” Nitish Kumar said.
He said the Janata Dal-United can before long announce a schedule for thali beating. Thali may be a ancient bimetallic plate from which people eat their meals.
JD-U state president Vashisht Narain Singh said the act symbolises support of all people across the state.
Last week, Nitish Kumar required a state wide closing in Bihar day.
“I appeal to all the people of Bihar to support the day-long bandh day to protest the injustice done to Bihar,” he said.
