Panaji, June 28: In an indictment of Congress vice chairman Rahul Gandhi’s governing talents, party general secretary Digvijaya Singh aforesaid the Gandhi descendent doesn’t have a temperament suited to the ruling benches.
In an interview to a Goa cable news channel Fri and telecast Sat, Digvijaya Singh also aforesaid Rahul ought to have taken up the responsibility of leading the party in the Lok Sabha and taking on the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.
“He is by temperament not a ruling person. he’s by temperament somebody who needs to fight injustice,” the Congress leader aforesaid.
Digvijaya’s statement comes at a time once Rahul also as his mother and Congress president Sonia Gandhi are criticised for lack of leadership skills by each Congressmen also as party detractors.
The party general secretary who is responsible of Goa was in the state on a two-day visit to require stock of the party affairs and meet Pradesh Congress Committee members.
Digvijaya aforesaid he had instructed Rahul take up the role of the most opposition leader within the Lok Sabha, a responsibility given to Congress’ Karnataka stalwart Mallikarjun Kharge.
“In a democracy, opposition space is critical. Since the Congress is the largest opposition group, our Congress vice chairman Rahul Gandhi ought to have taken up the responsibility,” he said.
