Modi, Sharif discuss India-Pakistan ties

MO-SHNew Delhi, May 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif met here Tuesday and discussed bilateral problems, their meeting lasting longer than expected, officers aforesaid.

The meeting at the Hyderabad House began half hour late because Modi’s earlier interaction with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa conjointly consumed more time.

No details of the Sharif-Modi or Rajapaksa-Modi conferences were available.

Sharif aforesaid earlier Monday whereas visiting the Jama masjid in Delhi that he had come back to India to “build higher ties”.

When the Pakistani leader reached the stately Hyderabad House, Modi received him with heat, clasping his hands for a number of moments because the 2 leaders posed  for pictures.

Sharif and different leaders of SAARC nations yet as Mauritius attended Modi’s swearing in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan Monday evening.
