New Delhi, Feb 01: Mother dairy, a major distributor of milk in Delhi and its adjoining areas, announced an increase of Rs.2 a litre in costs of its milk with impact from Saturday.
Mother dairy’s full cream milk (poly pack) can now price Rs.46 a litre against the present Rs.44, while a litre of toned milk can price Rs.36 against Rs.34, said a Mother dairy spokesman.
Prices of toned bulk milk vended (token milk), double toned (poly pack) and fat-free variety are hiked by Re.1 a litre.
Mother Dairy, that sells 30 lakh litres of milk per day in Delhi, raised the retail costs because of the ongoing rise in the costs of milk in the last few months coupled with the need to ensure convenience of milk in the consumer market, the interpreter said.
