New Delhi, Dec eight: Congress president Sonia Gandhi Sunday aforesaid her party’s defeat in assembly elections involved “deep introspection” and it might study “the several reasons for this defeat”.
Congratulating her “opponents” for winning in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, a sombre Gandhi told the media that she was “very, terribly disappointed” with the election results.
“This result entails deep self-examination,” she said. “We have to be compelled to understand to see at the numerous reasons for this defeat. We’ve to see into the method we have a tendency to fail to take our message to the individuals.
“Also, we’ve to see at our own party if it’s well equipped in running an election (campaign).”
